Caro-Delvaille was a pupil of Bonnat and Maignan. He is noted for his elegant interiors and for his female portraits, Female Nude, for example, or Artist's Wife and her Sisters.
He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, winning a medal in 1901, then exhibited regularly at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts.
