| Literature | A very fine example of Henri Biva's tranquil river and lake landscapes. This particular example has beautiful nympheas floating on the still waters of the lake at Villeneuve L'Etang. The estate of Villeneuve L'Etang was developed by Napoleon III and was originally part of the grounds of the Chateau at Saint-Cloud, to the west of Paris, which was destroyed in the Franco-Prussian War. |
