Georges Jeannin painted bouquets of flowers with sweeping brush strokes and rich, thick impasto. He exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon from 1868. He became a member of the Société des Artistes Français in 1878 and won a third-class medal in the same year, a second-class medal in 1888 and a bronze at the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris. He was president of the Society of Flower Painters and was made a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur in 1903.
