Marcel Cosson Paintings

As you can see,  Marcel Cosson often represented subjects of spectacle, such as opera, the ballet and the circus. He especially painted women, Parisian life, and the world of dance and theatre. He first exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he became a member. He received an honourable mention in 1901 and a third-place medal in 1911. He also exhibited at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and the Salon des Tuileries.

Jean Louis Marcel Cossons work is very distinctive and invariably sits within a number of themes -  The Opera, Ballet, Horse Racing and occasionally works connected with the Circus - although these are extremely rare. His most noted works concern Opera and Ballet and theses works are highly sought after for their unique touch and decorative appeal.

We believe his work is quite undervalued in today's market and looks to be a strong investment opportunity for the future.
