Edmund Blair Leighton

1853 - 1922


Edmund Blair Leighton was the son of the painter Charles Blair Leighton, and began painting at the age of 21. He trained at the Royal Academy in London, where he subsequently exhibited from 1878. He was a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
