A painter of landscapes and figurative subjects, Robert Russell MacNee studied at the Glasgow School of Art. Exhibited at the Royal Academy; Royal Scottish Academy; Paris Salon; Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts; Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; Manchester City Art Gallery; Royal Hibernian Academy; and Royal Society of Painters in Water Colours.
