HUGUES CLAUDE PISSARRO (born 1935) Biography

The grandson of Camille Pissarro, Hugues Claude Pissarro was a student at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts et des Art Décoratifs in Paris. He was Professor of Drawing for the Ville de Paris.
 
After a period of figurative work, he allied himself to the Abstractionist Supports-Surfaces group.
 
He exhibited in Paris at the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Indépendants, of which he became a member in 1954. Venues for his solo shows include: 1969 London; 1972 the Orangery in the Luxembourg Gardens, Paris
