KAREL KLINKENBERG (1852-1924) Biography

A pupil of Christopher Bisschop, Johannes Klinkenberg successfully rendered various picturesque aspects of Dutch towns. His watercolours are much in demand. He took an active part in important worldwide exhibitions. His work featured in the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris and in Brussels in 1910. He received medals, notably in Munich in 1888 and in Paris at the Exposition Universelle in 1889.
