WILHELM VELTEN (1847-1929) Biography
Wilhelm Velten was a painter of genre and animal subjects. He was born in Saint Petersburg on 21 June 1847 and died in Munich, where he settled for the majority of his life, in 1929. Works by Velten can be found in the Museum in Buffalo, USA; the Municipal Gallery and the National Gallery in Munich and the National Gallery in Prague.
